Dr. Yanbin Xu is the owner of False Creek Pure Dental. He attended the College of Stomatology at the renowned West China University of Medical Sciences in Sichuan and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry in 1989.
After several years of practicing and teaching dentistry at West China University, he developed a knack and passion for dentistry, travelling to Japan to further his studies. With his diligence and perseverance, he earned his Ph.D. in Prosthodontics at Asahi University, located in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, in 2000. Finally, he returned to China to become an Associate Professor at the Dental Implant Hospital of West China University for several years until his family settled in Canada. He obtained his Canadian Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) at the UBC School of Dentistry in 2010 as a general dentist. Ever since then, he worked at several dental offices in Burnaby and Vancouver as an associate and gained valuable experience, enabling him to understand the importance of each aspect of dentistry.

Over the years, he accumulated a fountain of knowledge and experience operating dental clinics. His passion for dentistry and his strong sense of duty to provide the utmost comprehensive preventive care with maximum comfort for his patients were all elements he instilled in his dental work.  Furthermore, he believes that these two elements are the most critical factors in modern Dentistry. This dream clinic, “False Creek Pure Dental,” opened in 2014. It combined his 25 years of industry experience in every aspect of dentistry with innovation in science and technology to ensure the latest and greatest dentist technology and techniques are available for all Canadians. Such techniques include Minor Trauma Wisdom Teeth Extraction, new implants, and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) to accelerate implants and surgical procedures healing. The most Iconic arsenal is his purchase of the Carl Zeiss Dental Microscope. Microscopes for general practitioners is considered the highest standard to ensure the highest perfection in terms of precision and accuracy. In addition, the new pain-free injection technique (dental vibe and Wand STA) can provide better patient comfort and safety.

On his day off, Dr. Yanbin Xu loves to jog in the forest and climb the Grouse Grind with his wife and son. Recently, he picked up kayaking and paddle-boarding.
